After a quick 2 hour ride, I am now in Samarkand, the famous ancient Silk Road city. It certainly does not disappoint with the architecture.

I am staying at Bahodir’s Bed and Breakfast, a nice youth hostel in Samarkand that gets many foreign travellers. At present however it is almost empty. I am here at a good time of year – cool days and not too many tourists clogging the streets.

It's hard to realise, looking at these photos, the Samarkand is an ancient city!

seriously bro – have a shave – as much as the ladies love a good head of hair, I think it is meant to be on the top of yo head not the bottom. Keep on keeping on bro. lovin the blog. Actually – if you could get yourself into a few more situations where you are a bit freaked out, maybe an arrest or something soon would be good – just to keep the interest up. Just found out that I am stopping in at the auckland islands on the way to campbell island after Christmas. 2 days till I retire now.. Sorry – where did you say you were from again. where's that. america? where have you come from? no.. where are you going?. No.. so far. on that?. …
