As I was sitting in the internet cafe waiting for this batch of photos to upload, I managed to polish off about 1kg (2 Jin) of lychees. Lychees are well and truly in season here now, and I am loving it. I see on that Wikipedia link there that by consuming 1kg of lychees, I also consumed 1,200% of the recommended daily intake of Vitamin C. Rich in Vitamin C, they are.

The aftermath - 1kg of lychees meet their end in Zhangye, Gansu Province, China

There's certainly nothing like a fresh lychee. I hadn't realised they were high in Vit C.

Lychees are the goods.

Brings back memories of Queensland. I still think the skins are made of rubber.

I am really impressed with your photos Rob. You seem to have a real eye for a good shot. What camera are you using now?

The lychees look yummy.

Take care on the road.

Hi Rob,

Thanks for the latest update and really glad to see you back on the road. All the train horror stories will just be that much more of a fond memory when the journey is done.

All the best and keep on rollin!

My boss said she saw you on Campbell Live. She reckons you seem like a really nice guy (I told her you really are) and she's jealous of your adventure.

Hi Rob, it looks as if you are going to make it now that you have your visa renewed. That's great. Can't imagine that 361 days ago you visited our house, almost one year ago. Wow ! Time flies when you are having fun ;-)

Tomorrow we are going for a bike trip through Denmark. Never been there, but it seems to be OK. By the time we get back (August 22) you might have finished your trip as well (or are you planning to skate through South America next ???)

Take care these last kilometers !
