Talk about a lazy day. Days like this are great once in a while. Slept in, watched TV, went to the beach in the evening.

Clearwater Beach, Florida, USA

When Rick said that we were going to the beach, I had different ideas in my head. I was picturing a beach and nothing much else. That’s what I have become accustomed to over the last few months in the Virgin Islands.

However, Clearwater Beach was alive with street performers, venders selling trinkets, sheltering from the cold wind behind their colourful sun umbrellas. The pier was packed with people wandering and enjoying the sunset.

If it was any warmer, it would have been a great place to spend some more time at. As it was, the wind cut through thin summer clothing, and we only spent a minimal amount of time walking along the beach.

I say, Rob, wouldn't have been better to be skating on the left side of that long bridge with the traffic coming towards you or was there no shoulder on the left side? I think it would have been very nerve wracking having cars coming up behind you.

Hey Rob, I'd like to borrow your tent for camping over New Years. It was pretty easy to find amongst all the other parcels you've sent home due to the fact that you took a photo of the packaging, http://14degrees.org/en/?p=281

I only though of using yours today after deciding that our big family tent is more than enough for one person.

It's hard to tell the colour of the sand – is it white?

Wow, finally caught up on the whole of December. It's been a big month. Great to see and read that you're still doing well. I'm glad you're being well-looked-after (as our ultimate Dad & King is in the habit of doing).

Hope you're still loving the differences.

My folks have been up for Christmas (staying with me at my flat, since flatmates are all away) and head back down on New Year's Day. I carefully left your site open and they've really enjoyed browsing it.

Blessings and glee to you.

Lee
