If you've got some inside info on albania, let Rob know by posting your thoughts below. He's after some great places to see, comfortable places to sleep, yummy places to eat...not to forget areas to avoid too!

Hi,

I like your project. I did a one year trip by motorcycle around Central Asia in 2002. Now i would like to do something like this but with my bent. That's why i am interested.

For your information, you can cross the border between greece and Albania near the coast (at Konispol on the albanian side). I did it 5 days ago at the end of a two weeks trip in Albania. Don't hesitate to contact me.

About the places i recommend you :

Voskopoje near Korce in a very nice valley where you can plant your tent.

the road betwen Korce and the greek border. May be difficult by bike because it turns a lot but very nice (and the asphalt road is in good condition).

Lio, thank you for the up to date info on crossing from Greece to Albania. Good to know that borders are still open!
