• Total distance by recumbent bicycle: 12,000km
• Total distance by skateboard: 8,000km
• Total distance by train: 5,000km (China and Turkmenistan)
• Average distance per day when riding on the bike: Depends on road conditions – 100km to 120km for tarmac, 40km to 60km for gravel or dirt
• Average distance per day when skating: Between 50km and 100km a day.

• Food: On average 5USD to 10USD a day
• Accommodation: Majority of the time will be wild camping, however hostels/hotels should be no more than 5USD to 10USD for most of the trip. UPDATE: I have given myself the challenge of getting through the whole of Europe (from Istanbul to London) without staying at formal accommodation (hostels/hotels etc). So far I have slept under trees, squatted in bulidings, stayed with contacts from Couchsurfing.com, slept in bicylce club club rooms…
